Police finance head retires after 34 years

Lt-Col Hlophe will now spend his retirement at home in Oshabeni with his wife and children.

Lieutenant-Colonel Michael Thathokwakhe Hlophe, the component head of Saps finance, Port Shepstone will retire after 34 years of faithful service to the police.

Lt-Col Hlophe began his policing career at Saps Mhelomnyama in 1984 before being transferred to Port Shepstone.

A formal farewell was held on Friday last week where several other long-serving colleagues paid tribute to his character and work ethic.

Lt-Col Hlophe will spend his retirement at home in Oshabeni with his wife and four children.
