Port Shepstone will enjoy a night of unmissable hilarity when Durban comedy star Masood Boomgaard and friends hit the South Coast for the first ever Sheppie Comedy Night.
The stand-up comedy show, which will take place at the Port Shepstone Country Club on Saturday, February 9 at 8pm, will feature Boomgaard alongside fellow KZN comedy favourites Mo Vawda, Nabeel Peer, Monde Blose and East Coast Radio funny man Rory Petzer.

Boomgaard is an accomplished stand-up comedian, writer and comedy actor who frequently appears on theatre and comedy stages across the country, often alongside some of the biggest acts in the entertainment industry.
He is known locally and abroad for his unique comic insight. A versatile performer, Masood’s material is diverse and often thought provoking. His solo comedy shows include ‘Funny Country’ and ‘Joker’.
An internet sensation, videos featuring Masood have collectively reached millions of viewers through the ITEN Entertainment Network.
Masood has toured internationally and has performed for a number of dignitaries. He has toured Australia, the UAE and the UK where he performed on the West End on two separate occasions with the hit shows ‘African Indian’ and ‘Indians from Africa’.
He has appeared on the Comedy Central channel on numerous occasions and is also an actor on the Etv series ‘Imbewu’.
His latest material focuses on everyday annoyances, the economy, dating and general human stupidity.
He is aptly supported by the likes of Mo Vawda, considered one of the best of the new generation of Durban comedians.
Vawda burst onto the comedy scene a couple years ago with his stand-out performances, clean-cut material and spot-on accents.
Whether sharing hilarious stories about being a doctor (in statistics!), married life, living in South Africa, or travelling abroad, this proudly South African and Muslim man is fast becoming a household name.
Other break out performers on the lineup include Nabeel Peer and Monde Blose, winners of numerous comedy competitions and accolades who represent the future of SA comedy with their fresh perspectives and unique performing styles.
And last and not least, audiences can also look forward to the comic stylings of Rory Petzer, the high energy, funny man best known for his work on East Coast Radio.
