PSJPS pupils transfer their troubles

The 'worry doll' takes away the anxiety and the child has a good night sleep.

Port Shepstone Junior Primary’s gr 3 pupils were recently tasked with making their own ‘worry dolls’ after learning all about the ones that Principal Dell Pendock acquired in Turkey recently.

The theory is that when children are anxious or a little sad, they tell their doll and place it under their pillow before bed that night.

The ‘worry doll’ takes away the anxiety and the child has a good night sleep and is better able to cope by the morning.
