Young surfer injured in accident

He won't be able to go out into the ocean for about six weeks.

ONE of the South Coast’s top emerging young surfers, Jordan Boshoff of St Mike’s, missed out on a chance to surf for a South African team against a French Reunion team in Durban last weekend.

“He broke his wrist in a fall off his skateboard the evening before the competition while skating in the car park at Westville Country Club,” said his father Louis.

The teenager, who is in Grade 10 at Port Shepstone High, is out of action for roughly six weeks, which will most likely feel like a lifetime, such is his passion for the sport.

However, he will be helping the judges at the Ugu champs at St Mike’s beach on Saturday, February 16 and the first trials for the SA champs team the next day.

Not Jordan Boshoff’s finest moment, but these things happen when you push the limits.
