World-famous bhajan singer pays a visit to Marburg

Pundit Narine is also an internationally recognised motivational speaker.

World-famous bhajan singer Pundit Chunelall Narine who hails from New York entertained devotees at the Shree Raam Narayan Temple in Marburg last Saturday.

Pundit Narine, an internationally recognised and respected motivational speaker, author, Hindu missionary and United Nations Peace Award winner was accompanied by several musicians, including the internationally acclaimed dholak player, Babloe Shankar from Surinam, who performed devotional songs in birha, chutney and nagara styles.

Pundit Narine, who at the age of ten became the world’s youngest pundit to officiate at a massive Gita Yajna (prayer), has made 50 recordings of bhajans, kirtans and excerpts from the holy Ramayan and Shri Satyanarayan Vrath Katha. His DVDs, including, Gems of Devotion , and book, Bhakti Sangeet, have become best sellers around the world.
