Hlanganani prefects learn to lead

It also afforded them an opportunity to hone strengths and work on weaknesses.

Hlanganani Preparatory teacher Estelle Alberts accompanied prefects to an enjoyable two days spent developing leadership skills at Skogheim last week.

Training included communication, teamwork, decision-making and creativity. They had to work hard because some activities were really challenging.

It also afforded them an opportunity to hone strengths and work on weaknesses. Prefects left with more confidence to become leaders and set examples.

All grades wrote ‘Table–thon’ timetable tests on Monday this week. Being a fundraising project, there were exciting prizes to be won – the best of which is a Raleigh bicycle sponsored by Build it.

Volleyball practice is proceeding in earnest and coach Precious Cele will enter three teams comprising U12 girls, U14 boys and U14 girls in the first 2019 tournament.

Plans are in place to get the ‘safe house’ adjoining school premises into operation by tomorrow (15th).
