Merlewood pupils love reading

Teachers ensured that pupils understood the importance of reading and that reading can be fun.

Merlewood Primary celebrated World Read Aloud Day last week. Pupils enjoyed reading stories from the ‘Nalibali’ and had so much fun dramatising classic fairy tales.

Teachers ensured that pupils understood the importance of reading and that reading can be fun. Various reading activities were held throughout the day.

Pupils were very grateful for the stationery packs received from ‘Gift of the Givers’ – the helping hand is really appreciated.

The sports programme commenced with a few athletes taking part in the Ogwini eliminations held in Marburg.

Currently training is underway for the volleyball tournament and teams are wished well for the upcoming tournament.
