Merlewood is tops at volleyball

Merlewood Primary is very proud of the U14 boys’ volleyball team. In the tournament held at Marburg Sports Grounds last Saturday, the team proved to be formidable opponents.

They played extremely well and beat Nqabeni, Griffendore and Marburg Primary in the round-robin.

In the semi-finals, Port Shepstone Senior Primary were no match and were defeated 25-16. An extremely exciting final against Griffendore ensured the Merlewood team’s victory with two sets to zero.

Jordan Bergover and Wandile Cele emerged stars of the tournament.
