The Christian-based organisation makes an invaluable difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
CEO of Ziphakamise, Lulu Bodla, was the guest speaker at the South Coast Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s business breakfast, held at Mugg and Bean in the Southcoast Mall on Tuesday this week.

Mr Bodla reminded attendees that Ziphakamise was a Christian-based organisation focusing on social and developmental issues. “We are a non-profit organisation, operating in the Ugu and Sisonke District Municipality areas. Our core function is to provide soup and bread to children suffering from malnutrition,” he said.

“Our central aim as defined in our constitution is to make a meaningful contribution towards social relief and empowering our communities through development and training. Ziphakamise means ‘Lift yourself up’ in Zulu. This vision is deeply entrenched in our way of approaching our work.”
“We have struggled with funding in the past but last year we received funding from the National Lotteries Commission and other funders. With this we were able to implement our services for the year without financial challenges,” Mr Bodla added.

He noted that with the help of the organisation’s sponsors, friends and affiliates, Ziphakamise will continue to make an invaluable difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
