Prizes for the recent Table-thon competition were presented at last Friday’s exciting assembly at Hlanganani Preparatory.
Lehlohonolo Ngozi from grade 4A was ecstatic to win the Raleigh bicycle grand prize for raising the highest amount – a whopping R1 470. Representative Chief Ndlovu from sponsors Build It presented the bicycle.

Pupils who excelled at a recent tables test qualified for the draw for the tablet and gr 7 pupil Slindokuhle Ngcobo claimed the coveted prize.
Bayanda Mbili (gr 3), Nokukhanya Ngcobo (gr 5) and Nhlanzeko Gumede (gr 7) each walked off with a stationery hamper.
The first parents’ day was hosted last Saturday after the AGM. Board of trustee member Bruce Dickson summarised the budget.
Chairman Phumza Nyawuza led the selection of parent association members and congratulations go to Ayanda Ndzibomvu, Nonjabulo Ndlovu, Mumsie Yalo, Bongani Shezi, Xoliswa Mbhele, Mthokozisi Zulu and Pinkie Gumede.
Parents were entertained with songs and dances by grades 5 and 7 before visiting classrooms.
