REMINDER: Rabies is deadly, so vaccinate your pets – it’s free!

Pet owners are urged to make use of the free clinics. Read on for places, dates and times.

It’s all systems go for the annual Hibiscus Coast rabies vaccination campaign.

State veterinary staff are geared up for the massive operation and are ready to give your pets a jab that could save lives.

KwaZulu-Natal Department of Agriculture and Environmental affairs has urged local pet owners to make use of the free clinics to have their pets vaccinated against rabies.

According to the department, there have been cases in the province of people dying after being bitten by rabies-infected dogs.

The campaign kicks off on:

Monday, March 18

Port Edward Library from 8.30am to 12:30pm and Nicholson Garage from 1.30pm to 3pm.

Tuesday, March 19

Glenmore Supermarket from 8.30am to 10.30am, Munster Protection Services from 11am to 12.30pm and Greenhart Supermarket from 1.30 to 3pm.

Friday, March 22

7th Heaven Superette from 8.30am to 10am, Marina Beach Library from 10.30am to 12.30pm and Impenjati Town Board Office from 1.30pm to 2pm.

Monday, March 25

Ramsgate Beach Parking from 8.30am to 10am, Mzimela Centre (Margate Ext 3) 1.pm to 2.30 pm.

Tuesday, March 26

Margate Hibiscus Mall from 8.30am to 12pm, New Life Ministries Church 1.pm to 15.00 pm.

Wednesday, March 27

Uvongo Civic Centre from 8.30am to 11.30am and Shelly Beach Library/Clinic at 12.30 to 4.30.

Thursday, March 28

Oslo Beach Old State Vet Office from 8.30am to 11.30am and Port Shepstone Borough Grounds from 12.30 to 2.30 pm.

Friday, March 29

Albersville White City Hall from 8.30am to 10am and Woodpecker cul-de-sac from 1pm to 2.30pm

Monday, April 1

Lions Grove Brighton Road Store from 8.30am to 10am and Lions Grove Solly Store from 1.pm to 2.30pm.

Tuesday, April 2

Marburg Library from 8.30am to 12pm and  Merlewood DSB from 1pm to 1pm.

Wednesday, April 3

Southport Beach Parking Area from 8.30 am to 12pm

Thursday, April 4

Melville Beach Parking from 8.30am to 10.00am and Umzumbe Moth hall from 10.30 to 12.00 pm and Mthwalume post office from 1pm to 3pm.

Friday, April 5

Hibberdene Library from 8.30am to 12.30pm

Monday , April 8

Umtentweni Town Hall from 8.30am to 12pm and Sea Park Alfred Evans Hall from 1pm to 3pm.
