As part of Merlewood Primary School’s SEEP programme, the ‘Environmental Champs’ embarked on a clean-up around the perimeter of the school before moving onto other areas. They collected a whopping forty bags of recyclable materials, which will form part of the tonnage collected for the annual recycling competition held by Ray Nkonyeni Municipality.

‘Litter police’ and ‘water champs’ are constantly active to ensure that all pupils comply with the school’s environmental policies.
Parents are encouraged to support the recycling drive by donating paper, plastic and cans for recycling and to create a cleaner environment.
