Airlink to start operating on April 1

Max Mbili the municipal manager at Ray Nkonyeni says negotiations between Airlink and the municipality are at an advanced stage.

Mr Mbili told councillors during a monthly meeting held on Tuesday that talks between the airline, which will provide an airline service between Oliver Tambo International airport and Margate, were almost finalised.

According to him a memorandum of understanding will be signed soon pending clarification of certain points raised by the airline.

Mr Mbili said chances are Airlink would begin its flights to and from Margate on April 1, 2019.
