Joining forces to help fight crime
The patrols were executed to help lower crime figures.
Civil rights organisation AfriForum recently took part in a combined patrol involving 34 communities in KwaZulu-Natal.

AfriForum, together with the South African Police Service, the South African National Defence Force, community policing forums and security companies patrolled the streets in both rural and residential areas in order to help lower the high crime figures.
“We received excellent support from the police and would like to thank each official for taking part in the patrol,” said Eugene van Aswegen, AfriForum’s provincial coordinator for KZN.
