These items are sold to bring in revenue to keep South Coast Hospice sustainable.

South Coast Hospice held an arts and crafts display at Shelly Centre last Saturday.

From knitted articles, butterfly flags, shopping bags, and mosaic work to handmade wooden peg dolls, the display celebrated all items made and donated by community members to Hospice.

South Coast Hospice CEO Di van Dyk thanked the community who so generously share their talents and skills with the organisation.

“These items are used for the wellbeing of patients, or sold to bring in revenue to keep South Coast Hospice sustainable,” explained Ms van Dyk.

She said crafting items for the organisation has been a long-standing tradition. “Arts and crafts provide a platform for many to express themselves through creating new things.

Knowing that these items bring comfort to others, makes the task rewarding and fulfilling. The display was in gratitude to the many community members who have lovingly supported hospice through handmade items,” she said.
