Black Sunday on roads: Two dead, others injured in three separate accidents

It has not been a good day on the roads today.

Paramedics and rescue personnel were kept busier than usual on a Sunday where there were three separate accidents on the South Coast.

There was a crash involving two light motor vehicles near Southbroom, where there were ‘multiple injuries ranging from minor to moderate’ according to Glen Preston of Med-Evac.

Later in the day one motorist was killed in a collision between a light motor vehicle and an SUV near the Wartski Drive bridge on the R61 near Ramsgate.

A further motorist sustained moderate injuries.

This afternoon, there was a hit-and-run in Boboyi, where a pedestrian sustained moderate injuries.
