Great line-up at Ramsgate’s Rocky Ridge

Faye Oakes and Wren Hinds have crafted an honest and captivating sound performing on the African music scene with their unique shows and appearances.

Jullian Damon started CrastinaterPro as a vehicle of expression for feelings, thoughts and ideas on life, through a brooding, alt-rock inspired style that merges folk and indie influences to shape his eclectic and soulful sound. Frustrated with life in Johannesburg he hit the road in search of new challenges, inspiration and self-discovery.

Having found meaning, solace, inspiration and healing in the ebb and flow of the ocean, he settled in Port Shepstone two years ago, and now lives and breathes music on the South Coast. Catch up with his music at Rocky Ridge this Sunday (7th) from midday.

Faye Oakes and Wren Hinds have crafted an honest and captivating sound performing on the African music scene with their unique shows and appearances. Their paths crossed in 2006 as students of the National School of the Arts in Johannesburg, which resulted in a musical union and a lasting friendship between the two creatives.

As much as their influences, culture and backgrounds are diverse, it is without a doubt that the duos meeting place is through music and connecting with their audiences heart to heart.

They recently released their second full-length studio album, featuring some of South Africa’s finest upcoming musicians and instrumentalists.

Faye and Wren who are based in Cape Town will be on stage at Rocky Ridge in Ramsgate this Friday from 8pm. Take note the venue opens at 6pm and entry is R50.

Local outfit Jacob’s Saw will launch their new album at the iconic music venue this Saturday, April (6th). There is no entry fee and the band will perform from 8pm – venue opens at 6pm. Crastinater Pro is the Sunday Blues entertainer. Entry for this gig (April 7) is R30 per head. Doors open at 12pm.
