Family fun day on the farm in honour of Hospice’s Helen

The event saw people enjoy a fabulous day out in glorious weather.

South Coast Hospice held a family fun day, in memory of Helen Mostert at Hamel Farm, Izotsha last Saturday. Helen was a beloved volunteer at South Coast Hospice. The event had fun activities on offer such as a five and 10-kilometre run/walk as well as ‘Woof for Hospice’ where people dressed up their four-legged friends for the day.

The challenging 10-kilometre event made for a good training run, while the five kilometre was great for a leisurely stroll or a walk with your dog. There was also car boot sales, and an exciting array of plants, clothes, jewellery, delicious food and books for sale.

Visitors who attended the event got to enjoy a fabulous day out in glorious weather. Friends and family enjoyed the relaxed and tranquil ambience of Hamel Farm while supporting a worthy cause.

The overwhelming show of support on the day by those who attended was a clear indication of how much Helen meant to South Coast Hospice and the community.
