Warm welcome for DA’s Mmusi Maimane

The party leader said it was important to ensure that everyone's rights are protected and that their dignity is restored.

DA Leader Mmusi Maimane expressed shock at the conditions in which Masinenge shack dwellers were living.

Mr Maimane was speaking to scores of DA members and supporters at Uvongo Town Hall recently. He spoke at length about lack of services at Masinenge, unemployment and the recent Eskom load shedding.

According to Mr Maimane some people were still being sidelined by the government in terms of services.”It was quite shocking to see that the Masinenge community have never had access to proper lights and water services,” he said.

Mr Maimane said it was important to ensure that everyone’s rights were protected and that their dignity was restored.

The DA leader also shared his party’s views on ways of solving the country’s problems and touched on the unemployment issue.

“Our goals for this year’s election outlines action steps and reforms that can get our economy growing, attract investment and produce jobs. Without a doubt, it is economic growth that puts a job in every home and is the quickest way to reduce poverty and inequality,” he added.
