Skills centre opens in Port Shepstone

The centre is offering training and skills development in film production, arts and drama, electrical engineering, computer training, computer repairs, organic farming, and sign language.

A new skills centre has opened its doors in Port Shepstone and is set to train and empower people from all walks of life by enabling them to become self-sustainable.

Deanre Skills Centre, a non-government organisation (NGO), is offering training and skills development in film production, arts and drama, electrical engineering, computer training, computer repairs, organic farming, and sign language.

This community-based organisation is dedicated to improving health and educational needs, human welfare and opportunities for youth, rural communities and mostly uniquely-abled children.

If you fancy a career on the big screen or in the music industry then join ‘Skeem Saam’ writer Siboniso Mabaso who will be hosting a workshop on acting and presenting for TV/radio.

In addition, a workshop at St Martin De Porres School to enhance and empower the drama and acting skills of uniquely-abled pupils is planned.
