They are rehearsing their new play entitled ‘Big Money’ which is loosely based on the works of P.G. Wodehouse.
It tells of a powerful multi-millionaire who is planning to swindle his poor hardworking secretary out of her inheritance.
What a bounder! Will he get away with it? Well, you’ll have to come and see for yourselves. Their forthcoming shows will be announced closer to the dates of performance.
HATS has a brand new director Margi Blewett, who left the Cape fairly recently for the sunny South Coast.
Margi brings a wealth of experience in all aspects of theatre. Her energy is as bountiful as her ideas for HATS.
“Everyone is welcome, so do please call us if you are interested in treading the boards or if you are not quite sure you want to jump directly into the limelight how about coming along and learning all about the back-stage requirements? Stage management, lighting, sound, props, and painting backdrops to name but a few,” she says.
The aim of HATS is to have fun and to provide entertainment for audiences. They have a marvellous cast but are still looking to fill several cameo roles, for both men and women, so give Margi a call at 083 628 6295 or 039 3151057.
