A culpable homicide case has been opened after a teenager (17) died in a collision between a tipper truck and a mini bus taxi on the N2 at Bhobhoyi last Saturday.

Police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge said the crash occurred near Nyenyezi at about 8am. The mini bus taxi was carrying 16 schoolchildren at the time.
“Siphokazi Vuyiswa Zulu was declared dead at the scene. Several other passengers were injured and were taken to hospital. The cause of the accident has yet to be established and no one has been charged,” said Capt Mpinge.
