UPDATE: Storm tragedy for missing Umtentweni woman

She left Shelly Beach for Umtentweni during the heavy rains yesterday afternoon.

UPDATE – 1pm

The search for Wendy Conde has come to a tragic end.

Ms Conde’s car was retrieved from a river off the N2 toll road near Umtentweni.

She was still inside the vehicle.

ORIGINAL STORY – 8am

Family and friends are searching for Wendy Conde. It is believed that Ms Conde left Shelly Beach at around 2.30pm yesterday (Tuesday) to travel home to Umtentweni.

According to Facebook posts she did not arrive home. She drives a white Ford Fiesta, registration number NPS 71723. She reportedly did not have her cellphone with her.

 

If anyone has seen her or has any information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Ally at 082 3734705 or their nearest police station.
