Sheppie Snippets: Support small business market day

Talk business and more at this market day.

Nedbank Port Shepstone is hosting a small business market day at the Port Shepstone Country Club this Saturday, June 22 at 9am. Entry is free and all are welcome. There will be spa treatments, children’s entertainment, food stalls, fashion, free medical testing, self-defence classes and special offers on security installations.

Special guest Pepper, the country’s first humanoid robot will also be making an appearance.

Annual general meeting

The Port Shepstone and District Andhra Sabha, established in 1955, is affiliated to the Andhra Maha Sabha of South Africa and will host its 64th annual general meeting at the Andhra Sabha Hall today (Wednesday), June 19 at 6.30pm. Guest of honour and keynote speaker is the acting principal of Marburg Secondary, Madhan Seevnarain, who is a local resident recognised for his active involvement in educational and sporting organisations.

The officials and members of the Port Shepstone and District Andhra Sabha extends an invitation to all religious and cultural organisations, as well as members of the public to attend. Following the submission and acceptance of all reports, there will be an election of office bearers as per the constitution.

Stonecroft Ministries will be celebrating its 40th year on the South Coast. Be part of the celebrations and join the team at Port Shepstone Country Club on Friday, June 28 at 9.30am.

Entry is R30. Guest speakers are Kelly Berry, psychologist, wife and mother who will explore the need for self-care and Jill Sumpton from the Stonecroft Ministries board of directors.

Bagpiper David Anderson-Smith will entertain guests and Ruth Fanner’s dancers will delight with their flag dance.

Bread of Heaven

The fund-raising campaign for the 2019 Bread of Heaven feeding programme has kicked off. The organising committee makes a special appeal to members of the public to volunteer to become fund-raising ambassadors for this year.
