Sarel’s latest catch was a bit of excitement for him as the winter months can be pretty boring as the snakes are sleeping.

A Port Edward resident spotted a snake on top of the cupboard in a shipping container which he uses as a store room in his back yard, and notified Sarel.

Sarel rushed to help, and easily caught the big mamba.

“It was sizeable snake, and I reckon it was way over two metres,” said Sarel.
