Alexandra Park old age home holds open day

Alexandra Park old age home welcomed visitors last Tuesday, June 18, giving them the opportunity to see what the home has to offer.
Visitors began arriving at 9.30am and were in for a fun-filled day of activities.
Some of the items on the agenda included visiting Dot’s Hairdresser and the Hen Power Project which is sponsored and supported by the Scottburgh Dementia and Alzheimer’s Support Group.
Staff showed guests the independent living section of the facility, as well as the frail care section.

As a special treat, there was a biscuit decorating session, followed by chair aerobics.
Members of the Kids’ Club were there, and Cynthia Booth from St Paul’s Anglican Church offered holy communion.
As a grand finale, the talented Peter Fielding took everyone on a trip down memory lane, strumming his guitar and singing songs from the good ol’ days.
