Just In: Search resumes for man swept out to sea at Park Rynie
The man disappeared beneath the water and has not been seen since.
POLICE Search and Rescue units will today resume the search for a man who went missing at a Park Rynie beach yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.
According to information provided by the Saps, a group of young men from a church in Gauteng were on a retreat in Scottburgh and went swimming at Preston Beach.
At noon, two of the men got into difficulty in the water.

“A 28-year-old man was washed ashore and was taken to GJ Crookes Hospital in Scottburgh, but a 27-year-old man disappeared under the water,” said Margate Saps communications officer, Sergeant Sibu Ncane.
A search for the man yielded no results. Authorities will continue the search today.
“An extensive search has revealed no sign of the missing man and Police Search and Rescue will continue in an ongoing search operation,” said NSRI Rocky Bay station commander, Kevin Fourie.
He urged bathers to be aware of rip currents.
