Umzinto police and pupils celebrate Mandela Day

The pupils were warmly welcomed on their arrival at the police station, and the police band entertained throughout the morning.

Umzintovale Primary School staff and pupils stepped out on a fun walk from their school to the Umzinto police station last Thursday, July 18 in celebration of Mandela Day.

Some of the pupils carried posters announcing that they were doing the walk for either a loved one or for major issues faced in our country, such as child abuse.

 

The pupils were warmly welcomed on their arrival at the police station, and the police band entertained throughout the morning.

After the pupils were addressed by officers, a cake, kindly provided by Sasol Umzinto and the Umzinto Saps, was sliced and enjoyed.
