Sheppie High grooms future leaders

The teachers involved are aware about creating a safe space where personal experiences can be honestly and openly discussed.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Port Shepstone High School’s gr 11 Challenge Week – the aim of this incredibly impactful social interaction programme is to ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’.

The programme is designed to incorporate certain iconic themes, such as intimidation, discrimination, friendship, tolerance of differences and personal responsibility.

The ten teachers involved are very aware about creating a safe space where personal experiences can be honestly and openly discussed and possible solutions found.

Sheppie High is acutely aware that pupils are truly South Africa’s future leaders.

Through this very successful programme, they hope to help mould future adults who are generous, empathetic, sensitive to others and aware of their own impact on the world.
