WATCH: Church bus engulfed by flames in Port Shepstone

It was a very close call for the church members.

A church bus travelling along the intersection of Oscar Borchers Road and Dairy Road in Marburg, near Port Shepstone caught fire at about 7pm this evening.

According to witnesses, the passengers and driver escaped.

The blaze engulfed the vehicle within a fairly short space of time.

Local firefighters and police were on scene within minutes.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.

The taxi was a church bus transporting worshipers to a church service.
