Free health days offered at Margate clinic

Businesses are challenged to encourage all employees to have their health checked.

Bring your family along to Margate Clinic for free health services on October 2 to 4, from 8am to 3.30pm, courtesy of  the Hibiscus Rotary Anns.

The annual programme, led by Rotarian volunteers, reaches out to citizens in dense urban and rural areas and provides them with important annual health screenings (for both infectious and non-communicable diseases)as well as lifesaving immunizations for children.

This year the Rotary Family Health Day will be carried out at 120 sites across the country, and will offer the following core services:

  • Immunization against childhood diseases such as polio and measles.
  • Screening and testing for HIV, TB, blood pressure, diabetes and cancer.
  • The provision of contraceptives.
  • Information on women and men’s health issues and so much more.

Businesses are challenged to encourage all employees to have their health checked.

The employer with the most employees taking advantage of this free service will win a prize.

(The winner will be judged on the percentage of the workers who attend).
