Pupils and volunteers clean up the beach

A number of the school's interact members and teachers headed down to Scottburgh beach to tidy it up.

AS many know, International Coastal Clean-up Day took place recently.

Scottburgh High School did their part to save the planet, despite the fact that it was during school holidays.

A number of the school’s interact members and teachers headed down to Scottburgh beach to tidy up.

They were joined by the school’s ex-headmaster, employees from the beach’s All Sorts Shop, Gladiator Security Services, residents from Renishaw Hills, as well as some concerned locals.

Well done to all who were part of this clean-up.

“We are grateful to have each and every one of the participants at these clean-ups, because by them sacrificing their time and working together, they were able to beautify our beaches once more,” said Nigel Eady of Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife.
