#Matric2019 – Stellar performance from PS Secondary

Pupils produced 105 subject distinctions.

Matrics at Port Shepstone Secondary did themselves and their school proud in the 2019 exams.

“Our pupils produced 105 subject distinctions, which contributed to Ugu District attaining top position in KZN province,” said principal, Genganathan Odayar.

The school’s top pupil was Nikkay Choonoo, who scored six As and one B, and an impressive aggregate of 84.7 percent.

The South African Reserve Bank has awarded Nikkay a full scholarship to study actuarial sciences at Wits University.

Afeefah Hoosen scooped second place, with five As, one B and one C and an aggregate of 81.6 percent.

Following closely in third position was Babalwa Xoko, who earned four As and three Bs and an 80.8 percent aggregate.

Hannah Maikoo, who registered for eight subjects, placed fourth with four As, three Bs and one C, and Aerin Lee Martin impressed with five As, one B and one C, to take fifth position.
