Izotsha Primary swimmer Daniel excels

He recorded the fastest 2019 time for a 12-year-old boy in SA.

Izotsha Primary is extremely proud of Daniel Fisher who excelled at swimming during the December holidays. He competed at the SA Schools’ Swimming Championships in Pretoria and won a gold medal in the 50m breaststroke and recorded the fastest 2019 time for a 12 year old boy in SA.

A warm welcome is extended to new teachers Louisa de Beer (gr 6), Chantell Gonzalves (foundation and intermediate phase teacher assistant), Leoné van Deventer (FAL – Afrikaans, foundation phase) and IT specialist Shaun Saunders.

The school enjoyed a lovely buzz and atmosphere of excitement as pupils and parents entered the gates on the first day, eager to find out who their teachers would be. The first week went off smoothly and simply flew by, albeit during immense heat.
