Marburg Secondary School recognised pupils from grades 8 to 12 for academic and sporting achievements at the recent awards evening.
Kaitlyn Pillay took the top spot in gr 8, while Zusakhe Fakude and Rhea Rampersad finished first in grades 9 and 10 respectively.

Sihle Potolwana produced excellent results and claimed first place in gr 11.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the gr 12 special awards. Sthembiso Mkhize was awarded the good fellowship award.
Saliyah Chohan placed third and received the meritorious achievement award and second place went to Nadene Sholayan, who scooped the proximé accessit award.
Top honours went to dux winner and first in gr 12, Thabo Shongwe.
Pupils also received awards for competing in olympiads and sporting codes, as well as for their contribution to the school’s recycling campaign.
