Izotsha swimmers take top honours

The High School Fair will be hosted at the school sports centre next Thursday.

Izotsha Primary’s senior swimming team took part in an inter-school gala hosted by Curro Creston College last week and emerged overall winners.

Alex Labuschagne was awarded the senior victrix ludorum and Daniel Fisher, the senior victor. Hannah Parry was the U13 girls age group winner.

At the cricket matches against Creston College, both senior A and B boys’ teams won.

In the senior A match, Creston made 91 runs in 20 overs and Izotsha scored 92 runs in 10 overs.

Mason Hielckert was top run scorer of the match.

Top run scorers in the senior B match at home, Robert Ribeiro and Ntobeko Sithole, led the team to victory.

Senior A cricket boys competed at a well-organised cricket tournament at Suid-Natal Primary last Saturday.

Izotsha were overall champions of the tournament, winning all five of their games.

Kyle Grobler performed particularly well, scoring a total of 104 runs throughout the tournament.

The High School Fair will be hosted in the school sports centre on February 27 from 5 to 7pm.
