A number of Port Edward Primary School swimmers competed at the Ugu Inter-schools’ Gala held at Southcity Christian College last Tuesday.
Proudly the school placed fourth overall. Special congratulations go to Ange Dorè and Cassia Burger as ‘best girl swimmer’ in their respective age groups.

After an exciting afternoon of great swimming and several long-standing records broken at last Thursday’s inter-house, Dolphin team obtained the most points and declared gala champions for the first time in many years.
Certificates and trophies were awarded to Hlalumi Ntongana, Keira Gregory, Nathan Lewis, Ange Dorè, Josh Burger, Kylie Best, Ethan Hooper, Amber Fourie, Jayson Marks and Cassia Burger.
The Marlin team will be represented by Sirin Bennett and Seth Gurr, as vice-captains and Cassia Burger and Ryley van Niekerk as captains. Dolphin’s team captains are Rebecca Wichmann and Kenneth Reynolds with Amber van der Merwe and Jayson Marks as vice-captains.
Gr 7s have been very hard at work selling, packaging and distributing various treats and gifts as a fund-raising initiative.
