Islamic School concludes can collection

Port Shepstone Islamic School’s annual ‘collect a can’ project culminated with the completion of the Quran recital in the school hall lrecently.

Advice on reaching out to the broader community was rendered by guest speaker Ml Mohamed Moolla of the Port Shepstone Zakaah Committee.

Thanks to sponsors and well-wishers for the dates, zam zam water and the close to 500 cans that were collected.

The internal swimming gala was held at St Martin de Porres.

Winners in their respective divisions were Raeesa Kalla, Wardah Ali, Fatima Zahra Sheriff, Daneen Hussain, Aliyyah Surtee, Tasneem Sheriff, Taskeen and Jenna Baxter.

They will take part in the Association of Muslim Schools’ gala taking place soon.
