Naicker (convenor), Amahle Sontsele, Bayanda Mthembu and Mbali Nofemele with Liyema Nkalane, Olwethu Nkomo and Babalwa Xabendlini in front outdid themselves at a recent recycling competition.
Marsec pupils excelled at the recent recycling competition organised by Ray Nkonyeni Municipality at the end of February. The theme of the competition was, “How to mitigate climate change with energy efficiency.”

The audience was captivated by Mbali Nofemele with her inspiring speech, “Climate smart technologies improve energy efficiency.” She was unanimously voted as the best speaker and was accordingly awarded first position in the speech category.
Scooping first position for their theatrical performance in drama category, Sande Mkambayi and her team mesmerised the judges by demonstrating that climate smart practices can improve energy efficiency.
With her characteristic passion for the recycling project, convenor Marlene Naicker was excited with the talent displayed by her promising stars and is very hopeful that the future of our planet can be rescued after all.
