Sheppie High camp a resounding success

The theme for the camp was 'Joy', and pupils enjoyed the team-building activities.

The Sheppie High Student Christian Association (SCA) participated in a camp at Skogheim Christian Conference Centre this past weekend. The theme for the camp was ‘Joy’, and pupils enjoyed the team-building activities and talks by members from the Gates of Praise and Margate Baptist Church.

It is with great sadness that the school learnt of the death of retired teacher, Isabel Venter. Isabel started her career at Sheppie High in 1988 and retired in July 2019. She inspired many pupils in the maths and computer studies departments and worked tirelessly in the school library.

She also assisted with the intricacies of the school’s front office computer programme. Selfless is a word that epitomised Isabel. No favour was too big to ask of her. She was a kind-hearted individual, always making others feel special.

The mark she has left is profound and she will be sorely missed.
