Leopard wins at Jai Hind

The four newly named sports houses of Cheetah, Jaguar, Leopard and Tiger, pitted their swimming talents against each.

Jai Hind held its much anticipated annual swimming gala last Saturday at the school pool. It was well attended by parents and senior governing board members, who came to support their children and the school.

The four newly named sports houses of Cheetah, Jaguar, Leopard and Tiger, pitted their swimming talents against each other amid much excitement and camaraderie.

Well done to Leopard House, who collected 213 points and emerged victorious.

Dayalan Govender, the principal said the school prides itself on endeavouring to develop every child holistically.

“Swimming is a life skill, and we want all our pupils to be competent swimmers. The swimming gala is just one of many sporting activities planned for this year.

Pupils will participate in an array of activities in the new term during the activity period on a Wednesday with inter-class soccer, volleyball, netball, mini cricket, dance and board games some of the planned activities,” he said.
