It is hoped the nursery will bring hope and light to the SPCA, and the future of the animals.

Can you perhaps help?
The society is in urgent need of donations of unwanted or unused garden decor, paint for the plant pots, plants, plant pots, compost, old steel bicycles, old wheelbarrows, cement garden tables with benches on wood or steel, ornaments or wall hangings, fairy garden and water features.

Dalene Erasmus, marketing manager of the SPCA, said she hoped the nursery would bring hope and light to the SPCA, and the future of the animals.
The society’s vaccination and microchip special took effect from March 18, and runs from Monday to Friday between noon and 2pm.
The clinic is open on Saturday from 9am to midday.
The special is R100 for 5-in-1 vaccination, R30 for rabies injection, R80 for 3-in-1 vaccination and R100 for a microchip.
Dalene urged people to take steps if they or their family are affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Who will take care of your pets? Please make sure that your dogs and cats are vaccinated should you require the assistance of either a boarding facility or a pet sitter,” said Dalene.
They are also running a R10 “paw fundraiser”.
Come along to the SPCA in Uvongo and for only R10 you can write your name or your animal’s name in a paw print.
The donation of R10 will go towards feeding farm animals impounded at the SPCA.
Call Dalene on 063 404 4382.
