Food donations are desperately needed
Carol Anne Warren of We Care thanked all those who had already contributed, either financially or with donations of food.
We Care KZN South Coast has packed and delivered 145 grocery hampers which have fed 256 adults and 163 children.
Of those 256 adults, 41 were pensioners.

Carol Anne Warren of We Care thanked all those who had contributed, either financially or with donations of food.
This initiative was run in partnership with Charity of Hope, made up of members Dawid Dorfling from Trading and Entrepreneur Magazine, Francois du Plessis from FDG Holdings, Round Table Sheppie 83, Kirsty Hooper from Local First and Hibiscus Coast Seconds, and Quintin Moodie and Ruan Landsberg from QFI.
She also thanked Coastal Cash and Carry and the Muslim community for their assistance.
“Without you we would not have been able to achieve what we have during this tough period. Bless you all,” she said.
There is still a great need for food donations, particularly bread flour and cake flour, yeast (they supply a recipe so recipients can make their own bread), peanut butter and jam (for the children), oil, packet soups, soya mince, tomato paste, tinned tomato and onion, bully beef, tinned pilchards or any other canned foods and veggies, and toiletries.
