HSN welcomes teacher’s assistant Jaco Otto

Jaco is looking forward to growing in the position and making a positive impact on both the school and its learners.

Jaco Otto, recently been appointed as a teacher’s assistant at Suid-Natal High, matriculated from Southcity Christian College in 2012. He is an avid sportsman who represented his school at first team level in rugby, cricket and golf. Even with this busy schedule Jaco still found time to volunteer with Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service.

After school he worked in the banking sector for five years during which time he completed several courses in emergency medicine as part of his volunteer work. In 2019 Jaco shifted his focus and enrolled for a degree in theology at North West University. He served as youth pastor at Doxa Gemeente Suidkus. In his work with the youth, Jaco found himself spending more and more time at Suid-Natal High and so his interest in the school, its faculty and students grew. Jaco was part of the team which presented CSV, volunteered at sport events and coached the U15 rugby team. Having recently been appointed as a teachers assistant Jaco is looking forward to growing in the position and making a positive impact on both the school and its learners.
