Pro Deo’s golf fundraiser yields positive outcome

The Pro Deo Care Group saw its first successful fundraiser on May 30, after a forced hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The group hosted its annual golf day at the prestigious, beautiful San Lameer Country Club, in partnership with San Lameer and Round Table Margate.

The past year left Pro Deo in dire need of funds and the golf day’s success brought in much-needed relief.

The group extends a heartfelt thank you to all sponsors and players.

Without them, Pro Deo would not be able to drive its cause, which is caring for the aged, cancer sufferers, frail and disabled along the KZN South Coast.

The very generous first and second prizes of the day were sponsored by Food Lover’s Market, one of Pro Deo’s prominent and most valued sponsors over the years.

The first prize went to Etienne du Plessis and John Hopley with 46 stableford points.

The second-prize went to Johann Erasmus and Leon Olivier on a count out.
