Young man killed on freeway

Umzinto local, Yasteel Mohanlal, died at the age of 20 last Sunday night. According to Scottburgh Saps, he was run over by a truck while walking across the N2 freeway south bound near Park Rynie at about 20:30. There are no further details regarding the circumstances of his death at this stage.

His sudden and tragic death has stunned the mid-South Coast community and has left many of his friends and family heartbroken.

The matter is currently under investigation and Detective Warrant Officer Solomie Pillay of Scottburgh Detective Service is probing the culpable homicide. A post mortem will be done by Park Rynie Medico Legal Mortuary.
