SPCA golf day postponed – again
It was set to take place at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday, but due to threatening weather it was decided to rather have it on Saturday, March 12.
The Lower South Coast SPCA unfortunately had to postpone its annual golf day, for the third time.
It was set to take place at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday, but due to threatening weather it was decided to rather have it on Saturday, March 12.
Earlier in the week, the Wednesday competition was won by Malcolm Moorley, Jim Dimambro, Neill Crossey and Andrew Wager on 87 points, from Gerald FitzGerald, Bob Clark, Peter and Sue Kupisiewicz, on 85 points.
The Mixed Draw Alliance was won by Lee Mutch, Jo Ledden, Chris Ledden and Ghost with 82 points, two points clear of Shirley Jeffery, Louise Leal, Michelle van der Hoek and Allyson Thomas.
Gary Purtell and Rory O’Donnell’s 43 points saw them win the Betterball Stableford.
At Port Shepstone:
A closely contested Combined Stableford took place last Wednesday and was won by Graham Dickson and Ken Morris on 68 points, one clear of Lionel Peters and Peter Howard. In third place were Paul Bunge and Eddie Fann on 66 points. Saturday’s golf was rained out.
