Crushing marathon run from Myles Usher

It was a very cold, early (05:30) start and the athletes had to leave Scottburgh by 3:30am.

Scottburgh Athletics Club runners were at it again at the Capital City Marathon in Pietermaritzburg last week Sunday.

It was a very cold, early (05:30) start and the athletes had to leave Scottburgh by 3:30am.

Congratulations to Myles Usher who crushed the marathon with a time of 3:46.

Louis Nel and Janeen Botha who also ran the full marathon in a Comrades qualifying time.

Ricky Pillay, Tammy Quarsingh, Lungelo Zama and Dana Daniels did the half-marathon distance.

Well done to Lungelo for another sub two-hour half-marathon – he finished in 1:59.
