Holiday property group acknowledged for continued excellence
The Beekman Group has been a mainstay on the South Coast since the company’s inception in 1970, and continues to set a remarkable standard in service and corporate governance to this day.
Port Shepstone’s holiday property giant, The Beekman Group, was once again the recipient of multiple accolades at the PMR.africa Business Excellence Awards this year.
Along with a number of other companies and institutions based on the South Coast, The Beekman Group was recognised for its excellence in 2021 at a swanky corporate breakfast event hosted at San Lameer Hotel on May 9.
The group, which owns and manages over 30 holiday resorts in Southern Africa, including eight in KwaZulu-Natal, and five on the South Coast, was commended as the Diamond Arrow winner in the category of South Coast based property management companies, as well as across three further categories; namely:
1. Demonstrating Exceptional Managerial and Corporate Governance Qualities;
2. Good Corporate Citizenship Based on Corporate Responsibility Initiatives and Investments Over the Past 12 Months;
3. Most Innovative Companies/ Institutions
Winners of these annual awards are rated by a random, regional sample of 100 respondents comprising of CEOs, business owners, directors, managers and government officials based in the South Coast region.
