Police, RTI conduct raid at Port Shepstone taxi rank

Commuters have been denied access to the taxi rank and they are waiting on Nelson Mandela Drive.

Road Traffic Inspectorate officials along with Saps have brought Port Shepstone taxi rank to a standstill this afternoon.

Police are searching taxi drivers and threatening to impound taxis that are in the rank without drivers.

It is believed that they want permits for the taxis.

Some drivers are lying on the ground, and they are being searched.

Commuters have been denied access to the taxi rank and they are waiting on Nelson Mandela Drive.
